Here's a rigid, rough-terrain defying vehicle built to survive the high and low tides of some African roads especially with the tropical climate influencing the nature of the roads, however properly constructed.
The aCar as it is called, is a development from the stables of the Technical University of Munich in Germany. It is about the best combination for the rural regions of Africa with its zero-emission and offroad capability.
According to Engadget, the aCar was successfully tested July this year in Ghana, and is expected to begin production with a projected price of about $11,944. Quite an amount for most rural dwellers, however it's still affordable when compared to the current offerings in the automobile market with the likes of Tesla, Nissan Leaf, Chevy Bolt and others.
