French automaker Renault has a clean energy self-driving automobile in the works which the company claims will revolutionize the auto industry. It's the SYMBIOZ concept. It was unveiled at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany.
According to the Executive Vice President of Product Engineering at Groupe Renault, Gaspar Gascon Abellan, the company is offering customers a new kind of mobility with a sustainable power source, for comfort and ease.
“You cannot re-imagine the future of mobility until you’ve been in the SYMBIOZ demo car. Our engineering and design teams have pushed into the next decade with an autonomous car that lets you experience a new kind of mobility.
Electric and connected, this working concept car is designed from the outset to challenge old paradigms about getting from place to place. We’re excited to show the world our vision – and to let them sample the future of Renault.”
Renault intends on delivering a 'real-life' situation of autonomous driving while passengers get busy doing other things behind the wheels as the vehicle cruises on with its independently-operating cutting-edge technology.
